Game Worn Mask -
Toronto Maple Leafs 1973-76
Doug Favell is one of more popular 1970's goaltenders among hockey enthusiants. He is well known for having the very first painted mask in NHL history with his orange pumpkin mask that was worn with the Philadelphia Flyers. When Doug Favell was traded to Toronto in 1973, he painted over his original Ernie Higgins mask with a large blue maple leaf. On that particular mask, the blue stem only reached the nose. Greg Harrison made Favell's next mask (this mask) which had an even larger leaf that covered the whole face. This mask exhibits great use and matches to many photos.
