Game Worn Mask -
Los Angeles Kings 1976-78
This Rogie Vachon game worn mask was built by famed mask-maker Ernie Higgins. It is coated in a thick layer of purple paint and shows loads of game wear with dozens of paint chips and puck marks. A few small damaged areas appear where the fiberglass has cracked slightly below the left eye and again up at the top on the left side. The interior padding is original and well-aged and the mask still has the vintage straps attached at five points. Rogie has added a fine silver paint pen signature down on the chin and he included his player number "30" below. This mask has been photo matched to at least twenty different shots including action images from the 1977 Stanley Cup Playoffs. A fine example of one of the greatest masks belonging to one of the all time greats in NHL history.
